From Farm Hirberhof you can start many walks, mountain hikes and ski tours. Should you choose other alternatives or tours which require a short drive, the nearest bus stops are only a five to ten minute walk away from us.

Cross-country skiing in Antholz is a particular pleasure. In favourable snow conditions, you can enter the cross-country ski run just a few steps away from our house. The ski trail then runs into the direction of Rasen and up to the Staller Sattel. Should the natural snow not be sufficient, then you are only a five-minute drive away from the perfect ski run pleasure. In the worldwide Biathlon centre in the South Tyrol arena in Antholz Ober-tal, you will find many opportunities to work out and inhale the wonderful winter landscape. A special highlight offers the cross-country skiing on the frozen Antholz Lake, and for the experienced, the cross-country skiing on the Staller Sattel at above 2,000 m.

Impressive excursions are the drive to Drei Zinnen, the wild and romantic Lake Prags and the skiing area of Drei Zinnen Dolomites.

Our area has many attractions. A few examples are the historic old town of Bruneck, the Messner Mountain Museum on the Kronplatz (2,275 m), the Museum of Popular Art in Dietenheim and Bruneck Castle. You can relive some parts of the First World War at the open-air museum on Monte Piana. In the nature reserve buildings of Fanes-Sennes-Prags and Drei Zinnen you can discover nature in a particularly special way. The Niederdorf Museum in the Wassermann House offers a glimpse into tourism at the turn of the century. You can learn how milk is turned into our excellent cheese in the show dairy Drei Zinnen in Toblach.

For all bookworms, we also have a small selection of books in our house, and apart from that, there is a library in Antholz Mittertal, and a municipal library worth visiting in Bruneck.

Dance, Singing, Acting- culture vultures can enjoy an extremely diverse offer in the area of theatre and music in the Puster Valley: from the - meanwhile traditional - Gustav Mahler music weeks in the Upper Puster Valley “Drei Zinnen Dolomites”, to the Bruneck summer concerts.

Diverse eating and drinking pleasures as varied as the cultural and natural landscape of the Puster Valley awaits connoisseurs big and small in the Eastern part of South Tyrol. Closely connected to Mother Nature, culinary delights are served here, garnished with the warmth and hospitality that is so typical to this holiday region.

In addition to the largest playground for you in Antholz, nature itself, there are attractive playgrounds in Mittertal, Niedertal, Oberrasen and Nieder-rasen. A special feature offers the Child’s Word in Olang. This playground is divided in three areas, the woodland playground, the Waterworld and the Climbing World. The highlight is the 66 metre high giant slide. Do you dare slide down this long slide?

In summer as in winter, the Riepenlift in Antholz Mittertal, the Skiing and Hiking area Kronplatz in Olang and Drei Zinnen Dolomites in Upper Puster Valley make children’s hearts beat faster. There you can toboggan, ski, marvel at reindeers, swish into the valley with the summer toboggan run, go on hikes with your family, be amazed and content.

In Niedertal you can even go fishing at the idyllically situated angling lake!!!

If you don’t fancy a drive, then do stay here with us in Antholz Mittertal. In the summer, you can spoil the animals in the warm sun, go hiking and go swimming in Lake Antholz. During winter, you can toboggan down the slope behind our farmyard, build a large snowman and have a snow fight. If you like cross-country skiing, you can pursue this just a few metres in front of our house in good snow conditions. If you are very coura-geous, you can go cross-country on the frozen Lake Antholz. Water rats are also spoilt for choice.
